So we braved the wind and rain and hit Ray Roberts today. I'm glad we did because it cleared up for a few hours this afternoon and we finally got my oldest son a "big" fish. He's caught some decent sandies and stuff of that nature but now he's been bit by the "bass bug"!
What a difference a few years makes..... cry

Oh man, that's a nice one! And on a rattle trap too, very good job. Keep it up young man, you'll be fishing tournaments soon.

It's always nice to see or hear about a dad bringing up one of a new generation of bass fishermen. Good for you, Dad, and congratulations to your son for his first big one!

I'm sending a trap in you package for him to have for sticking with it on a tough day. Sure he needs some of his own tackle now. Great job, dad and son

Many thanks to all the replies. Daniel's asking when we can go again....
It was nice to meet you Brad and WCGunns. I'd like to try and do some fishing with you both since you know RR a lot better than I do. Maybe I can finally break the double digits on that lake with some help!
