Hoping to go to Palestine for the first time in a couple of weeks. Can someone tell me where would be the best place to fish for whites with minnows on a crappie light. I have a boat. Thanks

Never done it but had a bud that used to kill them under the big 155 bridge on minnows. I imagine you can also pick up a few under any main lake boat house with a light. Good luck. Palestine is choked full of bait. Might have to have your minner hold a,sign.

I would also add. Be carefull. Watch for stumps. I know of 2 that need new lower units and one lives on the lake.

sandbasscamp is right about the 155 bridge. Take a couple good long ropes and tie under the bridge. Hang out a crappie light and the shad will start to collect under it, followed by lots of sand bass and maybe some crappie. I have caught many nice sandies under that bridge at night. Be patient, May be midnight before they start to show.

However, you need to be there on a night with little or no wind It gets very rough under the bridge when the wind blows from the south or north.
