I purchased a used Golight Gobee stanchion light a few months back. It worked awesome driving on the lake at night. One morning when I mounted it, I couldn't get it to work. I found the remote battery storage door had warped and not putting pressure on the battery. I did see that they sold remotes but I hated to buy a new remote when all that I needed was that one piece of plastic. I took a chance and contacted them by email inquiring if they would sell just that part. They asked if that was all that I needed and told me to give them my address and they'd ship it to me.

I was appreciative as they weren't even charging for the door let alone shipping fees. A package was at my door today and it had a new complete remote for the light. This light was not only out of warranty, I wasn't the original purchaser. I thought that it was cool of a company to stand behind their product so as to even replace an item that they normally sell with a free one.

I wanted to give a big thumbs up to their customer service! I know who I will buy from if I ever need another light!

Wow
That looks light a lot of weight on the front light pole
Does it ride in rough water?

It's not really that heavy. I've never had a problem with it in rough water. Much better than a hand held spot light for ease of use

A 4 y/o online review at BassPro states the light is too heavy for the 12" stanchion. They suggest cutting the stanchion to a shorter length.

But it is an old review. Products get improvements over time.

we use one on a Skeeter TZX 190 and it's much better than hand holding a spot light. It's a life saver out on fork when running the boat lanes at night. Have had zero problems with weight. Really works well if you have a passenger than can run the remote while your driving.

For me, it is only in for night use to look for stumps or floaters. I'm not going to be running at fast speed in rough water at night so I've never even considered issues from rough water but I don't think they'd be an issue
