This will be my first trip to the lakes. Headed down the 2nd week of November for the reds. Had a question about wade fishing this time of year and wanted to know if I should use waders. Also, me being a rookie to these parts, are there plenty of shallow flats to get out of the kayak and just walk look for tailing reds? Thanks in advance for the replies.

Most of that area is poot mud, you can do what you like, but *I* don't wade in poot mud. Ever...

By November a nice set of breathable waders will be much more comfortable than wet wading, little colder than my parts like.

There are better areas to wade than LHL if you prefer structure to poot mud.
