^ SPRO popping frog forsure. Black/Natural/White have been the most productive colors for me. Your set up is going to be the most important thing though.

7-7'6" Heavy with fast tip pole....7:1:1 minimum speed reel...65lb power pro braid....

Spro Frogs rock the house....don't skip on the Booyah Pad Crasher either...

Frog fishing will slow down considerably once the water dips below 60 degrees so enjoy it while you can...

LiveTarget Hollow Frog

When a fish attacks this frog, my hook-up ratio seems to be a lot better with this one than others because the body is softer and that allows the hook to penetrate easier. It's a very durable frog and walks easily as well. My favorite color is the bright green. I suggest you use a 7' mh rod, at least a 7.0:1 reel and at least 30# braid.

Sure I will! Depending on the cover your fishing which often times is heavy when frog fishing, at the bare minimum you need a MH 7ft rod with 50-65# braid. But a Heavy fast action rod is the real ticket so that is the way I would go. Reel choice would be something fast minimum 7:1 gear ratio. You're trying to get them out of the cover as fast as possible and you need a heavy action rod with a fast gear ratio and braided line in order to be able do that optimally. There is nothing like a good frog bite, def my favorite way to fish.

You are going to get a wide variety of answers and opinions.
I like the Ribbit Top a Toad. Caught my biggest bass ever on a white one. Runs over those nasty weed beds without any issue at all & the double hooks give you a great hook up ratio

thanks for the responses.

Another question, which may be a stupid one, but here goes. Im assuming early morning is best, is there a time of day not to try a frog? cloudy, sunny, calm, windy?

Sometimes mid day can be lights out if your fishing grassy lakes... but overall the biggest bites I've had on the frog have been right at daylight or just before dark.

If you have good cloud cover frogs/top water can work all day...but you will have more success in the mornings and evenings in general.

They will hit frogs on bright sunny days. Sometimes all day long.
