I just showed the picture of them to a bunch of crappie. They all said "Yum." Please post a report after you fish them.

Nope, those won't work....better just send them to me and start over with some fresh ones. Better go sharpen your fillet knife if you're gonna use those jigs....they look good!

Soon after I joined the forum I began to visit the crappie forum more than any other section on the TFF. I wanted to learn more about crappie and how to catch them. The members here did not disappoint. I have learned a lot from the folks here, as much as one can on dry land. But one thing I have regretted once I got a good feel for catching crappie on jigs is tying my own. I used and when possible promoted Jigum's Jigs with great enthusiasm. And rightly so, he and some others on here make some great offerings. But there has to be a special kind of pride for taking the time to make a lure/jig yourself to catch fish. I have always admired trout fisherman who tie their own flies. Now I have an equal admiration for those who make their own crappie jigs. It looks like you are well on your way to enjoying the fruits of your labor. Good job, keep it up

That's a real good start to your jig tying career. I bet those jigs on the far left fall SUPER slow with that big feather tail. Good job Mr Ryan!
