Where can I find a good brush to clean my fillet board after cleaning fish? I have been just rinsing the board off and then putting it in the dishwasher at home. I would prefer (and so would my wife) to use a little soap and a good scrub brush to clean the board at the cleaning station so when I got home it wouldn't have a strong fish smell. Do any of y'all put your cleaning board in the dishwasher? I've read where some spray their board down with a water/bleach mixture to clean and remove the smell. What is the mix ration? Any useful tips that y'all use is greatly appreciated.

I just use a plastic bristle brush from Wally world. And I also put a little bleach in my soap/water spray bottle. Gets it squeaky clean and keeps kills the bacteria. Also wash my knives with it...

I rinse mine off with the livewell pump and rub it with my hand a few times. The next fish on the board doesn't seem to mind.

I use a scrub brush that has a soap container built in. Wet it, light scrub, rinse and hang to dry.

Get you a spray bottle of Clorox Clean-Up Disinfectant Cleaner with Bleach. Spray your board good with it and let it sit for a few minutes. Spray/wipe off and no more fishy smell. One-step cleaning and disinfecting.

One-step cleaning and disinfecting. ^ This and the Simple Green Tom mentioned. Both are good disinfectants and kill the odor. I also use a bristle brush. The only thing fishy that makes it into the house is the fillets in a bucket after they have been rinsed well.

I've seen someone use a large hard bristle brush and they said that they got it at Wal-Mart but I haven't found one there. Do y'all prefer just a regular kitchen dish scrub brush or do y'all prefer a hard bristle brush to really get into those knife cuts on the board?

Y'all are too clean! I just spray mine down with the water hose and put it back in the garage. Hell yeah. I use an old board and scrub it down with rocks and dirt. lol then leave it out in the weather. Nature finishes the job. Dirt is actually purty clean if you think about it. lol
