Weather back to "normal" for us up here in Quebec, water temp at 50 degrees, wind chill near freezing most days on the water, so snowsuits / survival suits are the only way to keep comfortable. Less than 10 days left to lake sturgeon season here, best time to hook good numbers of decent sized fish. Though they don't get nearly as big as the white sturgeon out West, they are still very powerful, all muscle built very similar to sharks. Tons of fun with my 15 year old son. Hooked and landed 7 of them yesterday afternoon, only 2 "smaller" ones under 40 inches, 48, 49 and 3 @ 55 inches (roughly 40+ lbs).

I'd love to catch a dinosaur like that.

Guess I'll have to settle for a Texas dinosaur gater gar some day!

With giant gator gar, big blue cats, and fat buffs, I'd trade places with you all winter grin

May head down to visit Dallas again in midwinter if I don't make it further South.

Thanks for the offer Phil but if I were to trade a season with you I would rather make it summer!

True for some, but at least you always have the option of putting on a snow suit to get outdoors when it's cold. I tend to get trapped indoors when visiting Dallas in the summer, so I rarely do so any more. Typically limit my visits to midwinter or early in spring.
