I am thinking about headed out to Hubbard tomorrow and wanted to see if anyone could give me some advice. What's the best marina to launch out of? And anyone have any specific spots I should check out? Mainly looking for whites and maybe a hybrid or two

Best, safe marinas/ramps are Chandlers Landing and Harbor Bay. Mid to late afternoon reports have been better. I haven't fished Hubbard lately and out of touch with Hubbard this year so maybe someone can chime in with pointers.

Fished Hubbard in the am Saturday, Sunday & Monday. I went specifically looking for shallow fish and all I found shallow were LMB. Marked sandies in several location but no takers. I did see two guys catching fish off the long point north of red barn cove. Only looked for sandies on Saturday so I don't know if it was the front and constant changing wind direction or something else. Good luck

How much is the launch fee @ Chandlers Marina? Around $10 week days and $20 weekend. That was the fee 3-4 months ago, my last time there.

Good luck heard the front made the catching very slow over the weekend too, Jeff. Go late and talk to Fishboy Frank before going

I ended up just going to grapevine due to the windy weather and knowing the lake. I got on the fish at about 7:30 and was on them for two hours. They were schooling with moments of top water action near the island and the cove behind it. Ended up limiting out and the catch and release for about an hour. Left at 10am because the wind started picking up

I fished from daylight until 11.30 this morning. Went looking early for Hybrids in shallow water but struck out. Checked some of the usual places for sand bass and finally found them about 9.00. I stayed spot locked from 9.00 till 10.45. Boated 3 limits of good sand bass and probably 40 dinks with a few juvenile Hybrids mixed in. I kept 20 for dinner tonight. I did put 1 huge catfish in the boat, took a picture and released him back. The sand bass were good sized ones. The water temp is 72 degrees, depth was 17ft coming up to 10ft on a hump. The wind was howling, 20 mph but the IPilot stayed spot locked with no problems.
