Dunno about the Artic Armor but my BPS 100mph jacket and bib keeps me warm during the winter. I wear under armor cold weather leggings underneath also.

I have the BPS Pro Qualifier Jacket and a pair of insulated black pants. Base layer of Under Armor and then layer of fleece over that and the cold disappears.

In the dead of winter you can wear jeans and a t shirt under your Arctic Armor.

Artic Armor is it, I was frost bitten earlier in life and have had cold weather problems ever since, the Artic Armor is the best cold weather gear I have ever seen plus it will float you, look on Ebay, I ordered mine direct and was on the phone along time getting fitted correctly, it is great and light weight, I fish in all weather and I will say it works, also get the gloves too. Sometimes they have over runs and offer sales, mine was a govt over run, not cheap but worth every cent.

How extreme cold weather are you talking about? I have the BPS Pro Qualifier Jacket and Bibs and usually wear a sweatshirt underneath. The coldest that I've fished in was 25 degrees in the morning but warmed up to around mid 40's. I did look up the Artic Armor and I really like the idea that it floats! The price didn't seem that much more than BPS Gortex jacket and bibs (Pro Qualifier).

Y'all must fish in colder weather than me. The Columbia ski suit I have is almost always too much. I still prefer wearing my lighter, ancient BPS snowmobile suit. I wear a hooded sweatshirt under it when it's down around freezing in the morning, then shed the sweatshirt and just wear a t-shirt underneath when it warms up. If it's below freezing, I stay home.

They have an Artic Armor light, is this the one for Texas? Or do we need to get the heavier one? Thanks.
