Can anyone recommend a good and affordable bait/cutting board that can be mounted on a rail? I'd rather not pay $150 for a cutting board.

Drill a cheap cutting board and put ubolts from home depot through it with heat shrink on the ubolt bend. Cut a 2x2 to length with 45 degree angle and use a stainless screw through the board so the 2x2 rests on the side of the boat as support.

Do you have any vertical rod holders already drilled in the top edge of the boat. The ones with 1 1/2 hole?

He could also use a Driftmaster rod holder base attached to the gunwal, a piece of 3/8" or 1.2" all thread, a wing nut to lock it to the base and a couple of nuts & washers to attach a Walmart cutting board. There are any number of ways to do a cheap baitboard.

No sir I do not. Jackie recommended a pretty good option. I'll post pics of it turns out.

As promised. I am posting the completed project. I asked a friend to buy some materials from him and he asked for pics of what I was going to build. I went to pick up the acrylic and he had already made the board for me. I'm pretty pleased with the end product and it only cost me a 30 pack. I mounted it where I can sit on the back deck and cut bait and it is tilted just enough to the outside that the blood should run towards the holes on the outside of the boat.

TX .. you got a great lookin rig . get ya some of those Be-Readys and make ya one . I'll get a pic of one we have in a boat . its simple to do . its on a riser that fits into the base of a be-ready. when youre done for the trip just pull it out and rinse it off in the water. and oh yeh , looks like a easy job for safe-floor . we've done several boats like that.
