I was out there this morning and I've fished there many times in the past several months. Regardless of bait all I generally catch are six to eight inch channel cats and a few small bass. I see a lot of carp there as well, but couldn't get any to bite today for some reason. This morning I couldn't even keep my line in the water because the small catfish were pecking it clean as soon as it hit the water. Caught several, but nothing exciting.

I've been told by a guy who fishes there that he's seen some decent sized flathead pulled out right at the river mouth, but it's hard to get to without a boat.
