Flipping marinas has always confused me, mainly floating marinas. I am mostly lost on what to fish them with? Like what lures would you flip a floating Marina with, please let me know. Thanks

Blade Runner Spintrix

I always have good success with flipping these near docks. The paint job on these baits are top quality and so are the components. There's always baitfish around docks so it only makes sense to me to throw something baitfish related.

Chatterbait or Santone Swimjig with a dipper trailer & your in business. Skip it all the way back & slow roll it in.

I watched David Dudley fish a marina on Lake Conroe a few years ago at the Texas Bass Classic. He was fishing marina docks in 15 to 20 ft of water. I saw him pitching a jig and asked him how deep he was fishing it. He said that he never let the jig get to the bottom. He would let it sink just enough that it would get below the submerged cross members. Then he would reel it up and bang it on the cross members three or four times. If he didn't get bit he moved to the next dock. Just another option you might consider on deeper floating marina docks.

I used to flip a jig or a Texas rigged biffle bug or brush hog. Now I'm stuck on throwing a Texas rigged Senko with a pegged 1/8 oz bullet weight. If there's a fish under there, it won't pass this up

I'm sold on a drop shot after watching Jordan Lee smash 'em with one. That's all we did at Ft. Gibson & we're fishing behind folks all day.

How did you rig your drop shot: finesse or larger?

And, what length of line down to the shot?

Thanks! Brad

All of the above are good options. I have flipped CBs, medium divers, when there are few cables or wraps to keep from hanging up. I can also throw this bait along the outside of the slips and catch fish, too. Not many docks on Alan Henry, so we do not fish them much, but jig/T-rigged senko is hard to beat, most of the time. I really like the CB, but some have called me crazy to attempt it. Go ahead, I catch a LOT of fish with the CB in docks and marinas. I normally PITCH them, vs. flip them, though. Hope this helps.

Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

Unfortunately, I didn't have any DS gear with me that day as I had ZERO expectations of using that technique given the conditions. Jordan used spinning gear with about 15" of line from hook to weight. I would guess about 8-10lb test. His Robo worm was Texas rigged. Said the only two colors you'll ever need are Morning Dawn & Margarita something? He picked off every dang keeper in front of me & I zeroed, ha. Never DS'ed much til then, now I'm a believer.
