Currently have a MG PRO Series 70 (24v). Looking to upgrade to Minn Kota Terrova or Ulterra (112Lb-36v). Looking for any pros/cons. I like the idea of the Ulterra deploy/stow function, is it worth the extra $$?

What kind of sonar do you have? If you plan on networking the TM and sonar together then it's Motorguide/Lowrance or MinnKota/Hummingbird. If you're not going to network them together, you can use either one.

Supposedly from what I've seen and read, the Motorguide Xi5 is more accurate than the Minn Kota. The Minn Kota has the auto deply function that Motorguide doesn't have.....

I have the Terrova and love it. My back is still pretty good, so I don't mind deploying and stowing.

I too have a Terrova and also love it. Even if you have Lowrance sonar, they make an adapter connector that will allow you to use the unit's US2 transducer. If you can't live without your Lowrance DI, there's also an easy way to install the Lowarance's transducer cable down shaft. I have both and normally just use the 2D imaging of the US2 transducer.

Unlike Medic I am old and my back is worn out, so I'm saving up for the new Ulterra.

The part that I am referring to is the control of the TM from the sonar unit. I.E, direction, tracks, etc...
