I know where on Joe Pool they released the stocked bass fingerling.
I caught a few on fake baby shad.
Please when you catch these guys let them grow.
If they are taken out before being mature enough to breed, the bass population on this lake will never grow

technically "obeying the slot" would be keeping under fish....might want to reword your comment.

I doubt it's the TFF'ers that you should be worried about. Mostly everyone here is C&R

I wouldn't worry too much about the population of small fish on Pool especially after the flooded spawn it got this year.

Doesn't matter if you know where they were released. They can move freely. It's a lake.

yeah, I too am a little confused. The little fish population in all lakes in our area is booming right now. If we could get a few more spawns like this years with the high water, our lakes would be in great shape

They were released all over the lake and can be found almost anywhere. As small as they are right now, I doubt anyone would take them to eat. Either way, the slot fish are what will make our break the spawn.

Most of the fry/fingerlings released feed the crappie, perch, sandbass, gar, catfish and every other predator. The natural spawn with abundant cover is the what really matters imo

If you're keeping fish within the slot, you're doing it wrong...
I read one time where some scientists have come to the conclusion that keeping some of the shorties actually boosts the population of larger fish, since there is less competition for forage and cover. Supposedly, there are enough small ones that make it to adulthood to keep the numbers up. Look at places like Fayette Co. where there are tons of fish over 2 lbs. and there's a slot limit there. That said, I don't like eating bass anyway and throw them all back.
