Had a great time today despite the crazy wind. Caught a little surprise though while harassing some slabs lol. By far my favorite fish...the elusive war mouth.😊

How many slabs did you end up with? depth and choice of bait?

Ended up with 8 slabs and about a 5 lb channel cat. Caught a whole bunch of 9 7/8" fish and a huge drum to keep us busy. All were in COE brush piles sitting in about 30 FOW. Surprisingly a large majority of the slabs were sitting 10-12' deep over the brush. Much more shallow then we usually snatch them out. All were caught on large minnows from the sportsman drop shotted. The after sunset bite has really all but shut off for us too for some reason. Haven't caught a single crappie big or small after dark. Hope this helps.
