Wondering if throwing spoonsful of (cheap) canned dog food might get the fish to biting. Any fish, don't care what. Now that weather has cooled off a bit I've been taking the Gson out for a couple hours weekends but we've only gotten a very few strikes with nothing reeled in.
Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.

Used it in the past both fresh & salt water, dry works well also, sink it in a bag.

I would get a box of worms with small hooks and wear the bluegill out! Ton's of fun to catch because they fight so hard to be so small! Whatever you end up doin, I hope yall find "action"!
Katchin krappie...doin surgeries(filleting)...and givin hott grease baths until krunchy and golden brown is what it's all about!!!

Have used range cubes in the past also. Get them from feed store.

1) find a burlap bag and fill with supercheap dry dog food. 2) in addition to range cubes, ask the feed store for a bag of goat feed. It's much smaller and if there are bluegills or sunfish in the area its' easier for them to eat.

Could work, I've seen floating restaurants have little cups of dry dog food that kids can feed catfish and carp with and they always eat it.

my experience is you'll get a lot of bottom feeders...carp, catfish, buffalo, turtles, we had a slip years ago on Lake Worth on the air base side,..sometimes you'd get a few crappie but mostly the above.

I am a big fan of range cubes myself, but I fish a lot for carp, buffalo, and catfish.

Dry dog food is sold in gumball-like dispensers at many waterfront locations to throw in as a fish attractant. I know a guy with a pond full of 50-75 lb. catfish who regularly calls them up with dry dog food.
