I do not mean this disrespectfully in the least. A few years back I wouild let the whole turnover thing stay on my mind when fishing out there during it. Had some really horrible trips. I realized I can't control it so now I just go fishing no matter what. I have had some great times this time of year during the turnover when I stopped thing about it. Good numbers and size the last 2 weeks.
Just thought I would share in case you were on the fence about fishing out there.

There are plenty of areas that are not affected by the turnover.

Fish are working up from the deep spots. Mostly 12' and up now. Lake is in full-on turnover. They either want it killed or burned, not much in between that I found this weekend. There are tons of small ones in schools, the larger slots seem to be more lone wolves. I am no expert (only had two fish I was willing to weigh and one 20" slot in the Berkley Tournamennt, but you can try to "match the hatch". With a 2-3" shad imitation in blue/chrome and do pretty good. When you find them grouped, you can also drop shot the trees In 10-12 fow with something red/purple.

I was fishing up on the Fork creek end of the lake. Fishing a lite weight c-rig in water three to eight foot deep. Caught a lot of small fish. Friend of mine was fishing mid lake using a wacky rig and he had good luck . And he was also fishing shallow
