2 small ones, didn't even get a pic. Just threw them back. Caught more shad than fish lol, just stocked up for next trip.

went and set jugs on friday. used fresh cut sunfish. cleaned the bait off two of the jugs, but didn't touch the other two. probably turtles or something. caught plenty of bait though.
Give man a fish, he'll eat for a day. Teach man to fish, he'll sit on a boat and drink beer all day.

Went crappie fishing Friday with a buddy, caught 11 keepers, lots of small ones. A friend of his put out jugs with shad and caught 17 in 5 hrs. He gave us 3 of the larger one, about 4 lbs.. He didn't want to clean those.

how do yall know where to go for shad? if you don't mind my askin. I just never have had anyone teach me how to find them, and I don't know where to start. I got a cast net, but haven't really tried it much cause the first few times I tried I didn't get diddly squat. is cut perch a good bait to use on jugs? or should I try to use live ones
