I saw a couple rods there that just had to be too good to be true. Cat buster 9' medium heavy for 30 bucks. Anyone every used them. I'm looking for a good catfish rod that I can fish from the bank. I was thinking about putting the bass pro mega cast bait caster on it. Let me know if y'all have any recommendations. For a rod reel under 70 bucks. Thank guys

Daiwa Sealine surf rods, $79, BPS in Garland sells them in store, if not they can order them for in store pickup at no shipping charge to you. ( mh might be a little too stiff, try medium rods)

Why do I go fishing? To catch a box of fish and/or some quality time under the sun. Thank Heaven I never fail fishing in Texas, catching box fish or plenty of sunburn.

What length do you prefer for fishing from the bank with a standard Santee rig or three way rig? Normally lake lavon is my main lake and I always see people chucking bait out with their huge poles and reeling in fish consistently.

Sealine 10' medium rod, 12' mh for fishing in timbers and large rocks and for chucking big baits with 8+oz sinkers with 50# line or heavier.

If you lazy and don't want to deal with bird nest like me, I recommend saltwater spinning reels, Shimano Socorro 5k to 8k, under $80, pretty much maintenance free, just rinse them off with lake water once in awhile or when you drop your reel in the mud. It cast very well and has good drag for the price.
