Had a beautiful weekend to be on the water. We launched at 428 since the park at 380 was closed. Paddled North for a few miles. Came across a few log jams, but nothing we couldn't paddle through. The bass fishing was on fire. A lot of little guys, but if you could get your bait down deep, the bigger fish were down there. Only came across 2 snakes, normally see a LOT more. Great paddle and as you see, my girl was tuckered out!!

Kayak launch at 428. The stairs at this location are not as steep. Although a little muddy at water level, this was a nice launch.









The mud in some locations was deep. I eventually sunk to my knee until I eventually had to lay my paddle down for support to get out. Tried using just my hands and sunk to my elbow. My daughter was laughing the whole time!!

You are so right!! Lucky for me I have 3 more small ones I am beginning to make new memories with. However, my daughter was my first and my best fishing partner!!

That's awesome. I only hope my daughter will want to do something like this with me one day. I still have a few years to go as she's 4.
