I posted the good story about Caddo so here is the tough day story. On water around daylight and fished till noon. Had a whopping 4 blowups on frogs and they were just slapping at them. Tried a lot of different stuff and good areas but finally gave up and went to Lone Star. Had never been there. Cool little lake. We only stayed an 1 1/2 or so. Tough bite there too but we landed 3 and missed 2. All 3 came on soft plastics and the missed fish was a frog blowup and a dock fish. Definitely going back.

Still love me some Caddo. Looks like an all around tough day as an armada of boats were loading out when we did. Not many smiling faces....even the crappiue guys said they had a tough day.

Great time though hanging out and fishing with a good friend.

Caddo is as fickle a lake as I have ever seen. We lived on the river portion below the state park when I was born. I have probably zeroed on half the Caddo trips I have ever taken.

The trick on caddo is to get into the nasty stuff this time of year places most our glass boats won't go.

I am off Wednesday and Thursday. Will probably be Thursday before I can get away to Caddo possibly.

Still love the lake. Just a tough day. Have had plenty on other lakes. Its all part of it.

Yup ... that's Caddo.

Johnson's is about 15 minutes from my house. The 43 bridge, about 10. Pines it about the same.

I love going to Caddo, but I hate fishing it. It can be rough to fish, but I keep going back time after time.

If it's any count, we went to Sandlin today and had to grind for the 2 keepers we got. We landed a few smaller ones, but could only manage 2 keepers. I think the wind and the Baro pressure being high had a bit to do with the fishing today.

Knock on wood I have caught good fish the three times I've fished Caddo. I am sure I will have a day I stink out there because 90% I stink at it anyways.
