In the process of swapping my old maxxum trolling motor for a Ulterra. The Ulterra without a slide mount does not cover the bolt holes from the maxxum. Do any of the q.r. mounts cover the holes? If you have the Ulterra on a bass boat, did you use a q.r. mount? If so, which one? If not, and you replaced a motor, how did you cover the holes?

Never mind! Minn Kota rep. said none of their mounts will cover the holes. I'll just fill them with a sealant / epoxy.

Get a piece of 1/4" Starboard. Black will match your TM mount. Cut it to the footprint of your old mount or TM and mount the new motor using that as a base. It will look good and no one will suspect it was an afterthought or is used to cover up anything. Starboard is good stuff and can be used to cover a variety of ills.
