Was thinking of going to a lake I have never been to before (RC). Where is the best place to put in at and is there anything to hit out in the lake? I will be traveling from Arlington.

It can he a tough lake to run. The big flat to left side of the dam in years past holds grass I'd check that area for fish.

Still lots of standing timber, little to no grass but lots of willows in water that grew up when lake was low. There is some pond weed and natural grass in lake in shallow water. Lots of smaller fish showing up chasing shad early in AM. What ever you do be careful as there are no boat lanes that are marked.
