The American Canoe, Kayak, SUP, Raft, Rescue Association (formally the American Canoe Association) or ACA for short, is a nonprofit group that serves the paddling public by providing education related to all aspects of paddling. In partnership with the U.S. Coast Guard, the ACA just produced an animated, memoir-style video short that confronts some of the challenging situations we paddlers face in pursuit of our sport. The new release, titled Stories of Survival, depicts three tales as narrated by the real folks involved in the original incidents. The nicely produced video provides valuable reminders to even the most experienced paddlers that despite careful planning and preparation, sometimes things go wrong on the water.

I have learned a ton from the ACA classes that I have taken and I would guess anyone here could benefit. Give Barb a call over at Cutter Aquatics if it is something you are interested in. Thanks for posting! thumb
