Hey guys!

So me and a bud are hitting Lake Georgetown and we will be at Jim Hogg Park and were wondering if the bank fishing there is decent at all? Or some spots near that are okay? Catch and release, he caught his first catfish and he has the fever, just wanna have a good time!

my brother lives in GTown. He hasn't had much luck at that lake.

Us locals call Georgetown "The Dead Sea", Lol. I suggest stay away from the fish docks and fish from the bank somewhere. There is a cove that wraps around Hogg park, might be better than the main lake. If you get bored, run east to Granger lake and fish off the bank at the Taylor park boat ramp. Cast net on the ramp will usually get you shad.

The dead sea. You are being too nice. grin

That is the toughest lake I have ever fished. Decent in the 80's but still unpredictable.
