Don't know anyone that uses them anymore. Hooks out of the package are as sharp as they're going to get. I replace most every trip -- seems like it's worth the 75 cents or so.

Agreed. Years ago it was a standard to keep a little file and tune up your hooks a little especially your larger worm hooks. Honestly today with the chemically and lazor sharpened hooks the only thing I could do with a file is make them duller.

After a good worm bite I've noticed my hook isn't as sharp as it was. Figured I could put a quick sharpener to it instead of tying on a new one

I use a small diamond file that has a grove down the center for the hook point. It is inexpensive and it works. It looks like a small pen. I use it for spinner bait hooks and some jig hooks, baits that don't have changeable hooks. Worm hooks I never sharpen, I just tie on a new one. Owner and Gamakatsu hooks rarely need sharpening.
