I can confirm there was a team that would have won Champs but messed up on locking deal. I don't think it was schedule because Chad let everyone know times etc. We had a fog delay Sunday by about a hour. They could have done what we did and just called the lock master.

But yes we locked with a guy that had 12 something day one and about 18 lbs yesterday but got hung up in lock and missed his time back by almost a hour. He was upset and it cost him The Championship win. The locks ran right on schedule and lock master was very nice.

I understand the frustration for the guy but he blew out of the lock on pad which gives us all as Bass Fisherman a bad name!

If you lock you lock at your own risk!

We had a fog delay day two and Basschamps decided to extend check in time by an hour. I locked down both days and can confirm that the lockmaster let us know in the morning lock down that the lock times would be shifted an hour forward to accommodate for the extended day. That's unfortunate for that team!

I would disagree with you Rockie on the lock times info. They moved them back an hour. We had no idea they had done that and we got caught out too. I had a paper from Basschamps that said the last lock time was from 3 to 330. We got there at 315 and the door was closed because they pushed them back an hour and did not tell everyone for some reason. There were a bunch of us in there that had no idea they had done that. We didnt have any fish so it didnt bother us but there were some upset people in there.

Chad made the announcement at take off as well about the locks....We were locking and confirmed with Chad when we came by for livewell check.

Again, when you lock you are always running a risk...It is also a good idea if you have a question about times to call lock master. We were up north and we're going to make a run down to lock in to 4. We called lock master to confirm it was 10:30. Got there at 10:29 and at 10:30 gates opened and we locked.

They were going to get protested anyways if they weighed in and I'm not 100% if they got protested anyways for fishing in off limits water.

What water body would this be or section of the river? Just don't want to make the same mistake.

Inside the break wall of the lock.
