Someone is getting to them first!

I was heading out to Lewisville the other day, and before I unloaded my kayak I noticed something strange in the water. I know he's not poisonous or anything, but still, eck.

That's a big one. I treat all snakes as if they were poisonous...I hate snakes!!

I've got an Assault paddle for that guy if he gets too close.

Keep a hoe with you as well as the paddle and sharpen the edge. Over the summer I've killed a bunch of snakes in our pond and my neighbor was surprised the other morning with a copperhead when he was going to work. He killed it before it got him, but this time of year will bring them out trying to get that last meal before hibernating.

I generally do the same, but this was kinda neat to see.

Agreed. He was kinda preoccupied with his lunch. In fact he first parked on the best shore line, where I typically put my kayak in at. As I approached him to get the pictures, he turned back into the water and hauled further down the shore.

I can't wait for winter when all the snakes die off wink wink

I pulled my stringer of fish in to my kayak one day and one of them was attached to one of the fish needless to say I had to change my shorts.

a good hard whack with a paddle, then drag it to the bank and cut into as many pieces as possible.
