Fished a tourney this weekend at RR. The Sandies were up the creeks by the millions. Pilot Point creek is simply choked wtih them.

I pulled up the map of the lake on my Navionics app and zoomed in. I found no Pilot Point Creek anywhere. I did find Pilot Point on the east side of the lake. It may be a local name.

Its the creek on the East Side that that runs back up in towards Pilot Point. The creek taht airplane cove is in.

Go to Google Earth and look at some of the roads that dead end into the lake in that area. All that land around RR is type 2 government land. You may have to paddle a mile or two, but I think it is doable.

Thanks David, best tip I have gotten on this forum so far. caught 66 of them. Only kept 16 but they are everywhere up in those two forks. Thanks for sharing, my wife and I had a good time today because of you.

8-10 feet if you go way back in there. 10-20 farther out.

Wow , wish I didn't live so far away . I wonder if they will be moving up into Rowlett Creek from Ray Hubbard , going to have to make a little try out there .
