First of all my hat is off to Toyota. They really rolled out the red carpet. Had the pleasure of fishing it with my good friend and fellow TFF member Petro. All I can say is Toyota does it big. No entry fee and good solid payouts. The buffet style meals were great but the part that was impressive is all the goodies that they gave EVERY contestant. Probably an easy few hundred dollars per person worth of stuff. From Toyota clothing to Carhart, BPS and Costa they made sure you got a full wardrobe and then some. Nothing cheap or throwaway stuff either.
Enjoyed Swindle, Scroggins, Ashley and the Lee brothers there as well. All were super friendly and fun to visit with. They had Scroggins checking fishing licenses at registration and we gave him a hard time about that. He was cracking one liners about as fast as Swindle was. Got to get a pix with the Classic trophy and again Ashley was a humble and great champion. Talked to him on the way out today and enjoyed the visit.
The cold adult beverages that they had ready were great too. If you left hungry or thirsty the last 2 days it was your own fault. VERY friendly staff and everything was first class. I am not a Tundra owner but had two and I can tell you it would be great if other manufacturer's took the time to do this. Its nice for a company to show their appreciation in a way like this. Hell Toyota even covered the launch fees for everyone.

Fishing was a blast today. We fished grass yesterday in another tournament and struggled. Had the bites for a decent limit just missed getting a few key fish in the boat. Started the day with 2 good keepers and it went downhill from there. Knowing the small amount of grass that was there took a beating yesterday coupled with the fact we do not know the lake we just went out today and did what we are best at. Shallow water power fishing is our deal. We flipped shallow docks and caught fish all day long. Had a blast in post front conditions and in the end we came up a few ounces short of a check but still well worth the trip. Can't wait to get back in a couple of months for Bass Champs. Great teaming up with Petro again as we did well a few years ago as tourney partners. Work transfers and life got in the way of teaming but so since he lives in Houston we decided to split the difference and fish Bass Champs east next season. Gonna be fun.

Thanks Toyota fora great time. Enjoyed it a lot. The BASS crew, big weigh in trailer and BASS live release boats were a great touch. Think we had about 120-125 entries today.

I own a Tundra and used to receive fishing shirts etc. in the mail. What are the qualifications for the tournament?

BoomBoom: Registered owner of 2011 or new Tundra, Tacoma, 4Runner, or FJ & register for Bonus Bucks, that's it (Next year will be 2012 or newer). It sure was a blast; a first class deal from goodies to meals, beverages, etc. I look forward to this event again.

Mark I agree. That was one of the best tournaments I have ever fished. It was ran so smoothly. The swag was awesome! I have never seen a tournament that was ran so efficiently. The BASS Staff did a great job. Everything was done quickly and without any fluff. We weighed in at 2:30, ate the buffet, got our check and were on the road home by 4 pm. If it is within 8 hours of my home next year, it is a tournament I would not miss.

! was there also.
What a great tournament, I will certainly fish it again.
Finished with 9lbs 13 oz.
Could not catch a fish over 16".
When I broke a big one off at around 11:30, decided to head in since back was killing me, so we were in "first place" for a while.
Got to talk to Gleason, and a few other folks I knew.
Have not been on TB in nearly 40 yrs.
I will be back if the Good Lord lets me.

Can the vehicle be a company owned vehicle where a company rep fishes?

They asked for your registration so I wouldn't think you could use company vehicle.

I haven't ever pictured myself in a Toyota but, the amount of support they are giving the fishing community is making me reconsider.
