I had a new 1199 installed and moved a 998 to the bow and had it installed to my built in trolling motor transducer and they are linked together. if your sitting still they both work great. I step on the trolling motor and both units go crazy the sonar scrambles and the depth goes from 8ftto 120ftand it dose it on both units

Fix your trolling motor and/or prevent it from interfering with your sonar equipment.

I would guess you are using MinnKota motor. Check that the ground fuse in the head is still good.
