me and my buddy are taking our yaks to fork tomorrow and just need information on where the best place to launch not somewhere on the main lake.
Everyone has a plan till they get hit in the mouth

I would put a yak in at Popes or Mustang resort...great fishing areas, off the main lake.

also try either side of the FM 2946 bridge, North shore campground in the far northern area off SH 19, Little Caney at the campground off CR 1987, launch in Running Creek or Coffee Creek off of FM 2966 out of Yantis, launch at the FM 515E ramp ..go under bridge and left into Glade Creek, launch out of the campground on Big Chaney off of SH 182 out of Alba or into Williams Creek off FM 17 also out of Alba.
There are plenty of places to launch that will get you out of the main running areas either directly or within a few hundred yards. Buy a map and check it out.
