What is the biggest line that you guys are running on you 100 series reels. I have 15lb (Most are only Rated for 12-14lb) on mine its kinda a happy medium, The reel still works flawless as far as castabilty and feel confident i wont get to excited and break one off. My thinking if you put 20lb line on a 100 series reel your only going to fit a little over 75yrds on it, Make a good cast with a big swim bait or a heavy football jig and you are out of line. Would Braid be better for the 100 series reel since it has a smaller diameter? Do you need to step up to a 200 series reel for bigger line all together?

I like to do 30-50lb braid and then add about 20ft of 15lb flouro....good combination and get the most out of your reel. I use my 100 series reels for docks and such that don't require long casts...
