I need to buy or build a center seat box for my triton. The one at the Bass Cat Store is pretty inexpensive but I'm not sure of the quality. Does anyone have experience with these or a different alternative?

I personally would like to know how for 10$? Only way I could get the strength in a marine environment is threw glass and wood. Or it involves starboard which is about 25$ a square foot..... Aluminum box is out of the question...... noidea

Ok. Maybe $20. If I bought a 4x8ft sheet of 3/4" marine plywood, one gallon of resin, 8 cheap chip brushes, eight stainless hinges, 64 1" no.2 stainless wood screws, and 8 plastic cup holders it would cost me about $120. Make 8 of them. Divide the costs by 8. Add carpet @ $12 a linear foot. And the costs are actually slightly more than $10 each. Lol.

That is not a bad box for the money. Have seen a couple first hand and I will order one myself before spring. Very well built and the storage compartment is a great bonus.

Have to give Bass Cat the compliments on this front. In the spring I had them build one for my Triton and one for the Bass Tracker. They were different dimensions and they built them to my needed size specs. Very satisfied with the products. The "Starboard" or whatever synthetic material they use will not rot , warp or degrade. For the the price, it is a great deal.

. You probably couldn't build anything better than basscat.

And then you can rent a booth at Canton to sell all your other boxes and re-coop your money.......? :-)

I built one for my last boat since I couldnt find anything with the exact dimensions I wanted. Once all said and done I think it was about 100.00 total. I have a tendency to over engineer everything, it was bulletproof.
