Dobyns came out with a new champ extreme? Tackle warehouse has them..anyone know what's new/different?

Certainly not as good looking a rod. The "old" extremes are beautiful--that iridescent copper/green. The write up mentions new guides--nothing else.

Women want the pretty stuff. Does it snap like the old ones? I went through 3 745's and gave up on that series. Champs are a lot better IMO.

If i was going to spend 350 id by a imx or glx. I bet its a nice rod though, i hear good things about dobyns.

Women want the pretty stuff. Does it snap like the old ones? I went through 3 745's and gave up on that series. Champs are a lot better IMO. I have 3 745's and I use them for fishing jigs and they hold up just fine with big fish. You either got 3 bad ones or you are hard on your equipment.

Hope the "new guides" are different than the "new guides" on the new Fury series that I have been hearing so many horror stories about.
