St. Croix Legend Xtremes are super nice too. I lucked into one at the Cabela's bargain cave a few months ago. I believe the price tag is $400-500.

What size line will you be using? What lure weight? What action was your rod? What power? You like 6ft?
How about a high modulus blank. Should be as sensitive as it gets.

Get hold of Rtee at TackleRight Rod n Reel Repair. He has a guy that builds rods out of the building across from Oak Ridge Caf. I just know his first name, Dave. He built me 3 rods. I bought my own blanks from Tackle Unlimited out of Houston. Best blanks. The 3 he built for me or perfectly balanced. I am very pleased. I have about $200.00 in each rod.

Loomis NRX is the lightest and best, not a single doubt, that I have held and fished with. BUT I have not held every rod ever made.
