What a beautiful day for fishing on 10-7-15 with my good friend Jess and his son Brayden " AKA PERCH".
Fished for about 5 hrs. yesterday and the bite did not start out that well.
Finally stopped at the right b/p and it was loaded! 22 keepers in about 30 minutes on that pile as the action was hot and heavy!
Fished a few more piles and boated a few but not that great. Decided to go to honey hole #2.
The bite was slow at first, but after 15 minutes and a slight adjustment to another part of the pile, BINGO!
Another 22 or so keeps!
Jess fished minnow tipped jigs and I fished straight jig with power bait. Perch fished with straight minnow rig. All baits did well and they wanted a small offering as far as jig went, 1/16th or 1/32 oz.
Most fish caught in the 15-22 ft. range.
Perch caught 5 or 6 crappie and a nice Channel Cat!
The bite is still good on LBJ if you get on the right spot!
Remember to take a KID fishing, they are a blast!
Give us a call!
I'm always in a good mood when I'm fishing.
