Looks like bait on the top and towards the bottom and maybe some kind of structure on the bottom, catfish and other game species usually will come up as arches on the ff

I don't see any fish, but don't know what your settings are. Try switching between 83 and 200Hz, turn up/down sensitivity and contrast, and go slow <2mph until you get the readings you like.

Those are definitely fish! Looks like some bait up top, big gizzards or maybe some small sandbass or other fish. Aand those are also fish at the bottom not structure. There are what looks like 3 fish swimming tight on the right. You will not see arches while anchored. You will pick fish up as streaks when they swim by. It is possible to get arches if u change a lot of settings while anchored but no need too.

Didn't even noticed the rods out and that he's anchored. hammer Was thinking if those are fish he needs to do some adjusting or I do.... Not a bad return at all for sitting still, don't like the color but good return.

If your sitting still in 16ft of water and your marking fish under the boat with 2d there are definitely fish in the area! You aren't covering much area in 16ft of water with 2d. When you mark fish and set up on them you aren't going to continue to have a screen full of fish! But if you think you are sitting on catfish and you have them coming under the boat then you are doing just fine!

I agree with ya 99% Smoky with the 1% perception that other fish are in the area. Lol! You never know when sonar is all ya gots. Hopefully Sgt Ballard will understand that but also see what potentially can be found with it. Love you fellars. [censored], I'm gettin emotional again. roflmao roflmao roflmao

I caught about 40 Catfish from this one spot, mostly blues. They were all nice sizes eaters, of course nothing like the monsters you catch... I admit that I do need to learn how to read a fish finder, that's one reason I haven't upgraded to a larger unit. I appreciate everyone's input..
