Definitely LakeMaster IMHO .... love the customization features such as changing depths, highlighting depths, etc.

I like lakemaster because of the features. It has been good for all lakes that I have fished on but one. that one doesn't go down to 1' contours.
Navionics had better contours on that lake and it also does a better job of showing other features on the lake such as ponds and things.
Best is to decide what lakes you primarily use and choose from which does the best job for you. I intend to buy navionics and have both available

Lake master midsouth version 2.0? I have the Lakemaster mid south. It's ok. I bought the Lakemaster autocharts, but the map card is a regular SD card, so it's packed up for return. The autochart allows you to make hyper accurate updates to the maps as you fish. That's sounded awesome. Non the less, it wouldn't fit my Helix7 units as they take a micro Sd.

2.0 yes, but Bobby's point is a good one. Navi has some good features on the big lakes that you will fish - RayRob, Sam, TB etc.

If you fish deep I'd get navionics the lake master contours are weird looking and i don't trust them.I might be stubborn tho

I have used both in my HB. As has been stated already I like the LakeMaster for the customization like depth and depth colors. I have an iPilot but not the Linked version so I don't know how well the Follow the Contour features work. I really miss the Navionics detail on structure, timber, boat houses etc which is non-existent in my LakeMaster. The determining factor for me was the depth offset feature. With our drought associated changing water levels in the North Texas lakes over the last few years this saved me from disaster several times.

I like Lakemaster but it is a little slow loading on my 997. I'm sure it's much better on 998's and newer.

Navionics seems to be a little more accurate and provides more detail with hazards, ponds, etc. Lakemaster is great because of the shallow water highlight, and water offset. I have them both, and switch them for different lakes between console and bow.

I have both, I use the Navionics most of the time, simply more detailed. That being said when the lake levels drop way down, especially on a lake I don't know well I switch to the LakeMaster for the depth offsets and depth highlights. Just feel safer when I know for sure where the shallow hazards are located.

Check out the WebAPP for available Navionics mapping for the areas you fish to compare the 2 mapping options before you make a purchase.
