I posted in boats and motors but thought I may get a few more views here. Looking for advice on best prop to run. I'm currently running a 24 pitch trophy 4 blade on a 99 optimax 200 hp on a 99 pantera 3 set at 3 1/2" below pad. Top end at wot is around 66-67 at 5700-5900 rpm. Max rpm for motor is 5700 so I was thinking I probably need to change my setup. A little slow on hole shot with full fuel tanks. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you are low on your propshaft height. If I remember right, the fury likes to run 3"down. So for a 4 blade- Go up a 1/2-1" to see if your Rpm picks up. And pull all 3 pvc plugs outta the prop to get up faster(if the prop has the plugs on the sides of the barrel )

So it would be best to pull all plugs? The prop has 4. Medium size hole I think. I never have messed with plugs before

I would advise on voicing your concerns on basscat.com if you haven't already on the owners forums. You will get excellent feedback from owners themselves and also from basscat. They follow the forums and will chime in. From my research when it came to my cat they are a different animal and setup differently than some of the rest.

My 04' Sabre has excellent hole shots and hits 60 fully loaded with two in the summer and will push 70 in winter.

From what I've learned the sweet spot is when there's a slight right tug on the steering wheel when it comes to cats. They don't require much trim and the rooster tail should hardly if ever be above the motor.

Let us know how it works out...

GL
