Hello. I'm currently in the market for buying a set of rain gear (jacket and bibs), and would like to know what you all think is the best suit out there? I fish in South Texas and Mexico, so I don't need anything that is warm. I've tried the Frogg Toggs, but the water went right through after 3 hours of constant rain. Looking at Cabelas Guidwear Bass Angler (kinda pricey!), Bass Pro Shops Pro Qualifier Gore Tex, or any other options you all think are good and not hot!

I bought the Pro Qualifier parka/bibs at the beginning of this year. They have been put to work quite a bit & have performed well. I recommend them.

Kuiu rain gear is great. Lightweight, breathable, and flexible. Even in flexed positions, it is 100% waterproof.

I've got Cabelas Guidewear and like it but it is pricy. My buddy has H2O and he likes it. Not near as pricy. Bass Pro 100 mph is good, and Simms is probably the best but it is the highest also. Shop and compare what you need it to do versus the cost and go with it. JMHO

If it's good it's gonna be pricey, but worth every penny

Lowest end that I would ever buy is the ~$180 Cabelas Goretex pants and jacket. Those worked for me for years. (were $100 a piece when I bought them 10 years ago or so)

Got some Guidewear last year and it is way better.

Obviously there are more pricey options.

I don't know about best, but Cabelas Guidewear kept me dry and warm during several miserably cold and wet early spring trips this year.

The set I have is insulated and too warm to wear if the air temp is over about 60 degrees, but it is lovely for those 35 degrees and raining stupid-cold tournaments.

If you don't need warmth, go with Foot Joy or Zero golf rain wear

I have the Bass Pro Shops 100mph gear. Kept me warm and dry in cold rainy weather for seven years now.

Simms Riffle Jacket

I've been super happy with this jacket. It's super lightweight and made of high quality materials. It's a little on the expensive side but I'd rather pay extra and not to have to worry about it in the future. I can't say enough good things about this jacket.

Grundens Weather Boss

I've been pretty pleased with these. Wearing jeans or sweatpants under these is not a problem and they don't bunch up underneath. These bibs are very loose and breathable as well.
