The White Bass and Hybrid action has been slow the past few weeks, but this week the Whites did make an appearance or two and we caught fish on Tuesday & Friday's trips. All fish on RSR 1oz. Slabs ( www.rsrlures.com ) The consistent Catfish bite on Danny Kings Punch Bait on a # 4 Treble Hook is just to good to pass up. Find a Main Lake Point or a drop off with timber nearby, chum a bit with Maize or Range Cubes and you're in business with Blues and Channel "Eater " Catfish. The BIG FISH will show up soon as the Fall arrives. For a complete Fall Forecast, check us out at www.gonefishin.biz .

The pic below was from Tuesdays Family Trip with the Grandsons! fish

Another good week on RC as the Whites showed up to give a little action and the Catfish trips continued to yield a box full of "Eaters". I ended the week with a Boy Scout Troop from Magnolia, Texas fishing with me on Saturday. I conducted 3 Shuttles with 4 Boys and a Dad/Mom
on each 2 1/2 hour Shuttle. Great bite on Catfish in the AM got a little tough on the PM Shuttle. Still, the boys caught 128 Cats and kept enough for the Saturday Night Fish Fry! fish

We have October Weekday openings that need to be filled. Check out our "Package Special" of a Cabin and Fishing Trip @ www.gonefishin.biz .

RC Update from the period of September 28th thru October 5th: Catfishing continues to be good most days with a box full of "Eater" Blues and Channels and an occasional BIG FISH! Catching them in 15'-25' FOW on Danny Kings Punch Bait on a #4 Treble Hook. White Bass are hit and miss with the most recent catches on Pelican Island in 25'FOW on RSR Silver Slabs ( www.rsrlures.com ). Lake is in great shape with good water clarity and surface temp in the mid 70's and 1 1/2' below pool level.

We have Weekday Openings in October. Check out our "Package Special" on the web @ www.gonefishin.biz !

Here's some recent catches a BEAUTIFUL RC SUNRISE FROM MONDAY'S TRIP:

Fishing (And Catching) continues to be good on RC as Fall continues to slowly arrive. The Mornings are pleasant with temps in the 60's, Catfish biting aggressively and sometimes you find a school of cooperative Whites. While I've not done any Crappie trips recently, there have been several reports of folks catching them on the Hwy 287 Bridge Columns on small minnows. We're loading the ice chest(s) with Eater size Channels and Blues most trips and catching them in timber in 20' plus FOW. Danny King's Punch Bait on a # 4 Treble Hook is all you need. We are keeping holes baited with Range Cubes and Sour Maize.

Here's a few pics from last week and Monday of this week:

Fished Monday thru Thursday this week and then the much needed RAINS came! Had good White Bass action on Monday and AWESOME Catfish action each day. The Whites are normally on the move and difficult to put together a box full of fish. RSR Slabs ( www.rsrlures.com ) in the Pelican Island area resulted in a box of fish for two customers on Monday. The Catfish are in the heavy timber where the Commorants roost. Danny Kings Punch Boat on a # 4 treble hook is the key to a fish fry. Adam and I cleaned over 500 Catfish over the four days!!! If you'd like to get in on the action on the "Best Kept Secret in Texas" give us a call @ 903-389-4117. Check out our "Cabin and Fishing Trip" Package @ www.gonefishin.biz . Here's some pics from this week! fish

Not much to report this week on RC as we cancelled five of our six trips due to Wind and/or Rain. The lake is about a foot above Pool Level as of Saturday Morning and the Main Lake is stained. The farther up the Creeks you travel, the water turns to Hot Chocolate. A friend and fellow Guide and I baited some Catfish Holes on Tuesday and then checked out the White Bass on Pelican Island. The Whites were stacked up thick on the Turnaround and we caught and released over a 100 fish in about an hour and a half. Went back there on Thursday with Customers after we had caught all the Catfish we wanted and....Not a White Bass to be found! Looked for over an hour on all the regular locations and the Whites have disappeared. Water level, current, and clarity is about as tough as it can get for everything EXCEPT CATFISH! Danny Kings Punch Bait is still the ticket to a BIG FISH FRY!!!

Good Luck and give us a call if you want to catch a LOT of Catfish!!! fish

Another week of fishing between Fronts and Rain was rewarded with nice catches of a few Whites/Hybrids and boxes full of good size Channel and Blue Catfish! We continue to fish over baited holes for our Catfish and catch all our fish on DK's Punch Bait on a #4 treble hook. The Whites/Hybrids are scattered and when we find them on Main Lake Points we catch them on Slabs bumped along the bottom. We have some Weekdays openings in November and one Weekend (Saturday, November 28th) opening.

Below are pics from Monday's trip with the Nichols from Dallas:

It was a GOOD WEEK on RC as we had 20 Veterans sign up to fish a Special Trip we do each year to honor them and their sacrifice! We had 17 that were able to fish with us for a couple of days and Adam and I had a great time treating them to a morning of Catfishing. We were also able to get in a couple of trips with longtime customers who fish with us each Fall and love to load the ice chest with Catfish.

RC is still very stained(downright muddy up the Creeks) and there's been little to no reports of White Bass or Crappie being caught. We'll stick with the Catfish as they are normally easier to locate and catch. Mostly Channels this past week as we were fishing "baited holes" with DK's Punch Bait. We did however have a couple of BIG BLUES show up!

We have Weekday openings this month and still one Thanksgiving Weekday (Monday, November 23)opening we need to fill. Let's Go Fishin'! fish

As we head into the Thanksgiving Weekend, we hope everyone has the opportunity to visit with Family and Friends and enjoy a little downtime with the Kids and Grandkids! Adam and I fished Monday and Tuesday and will be on the Lake again this Morning. We always take Thanksgiving off and have decided to go ahead and cancel the Friday/Saturday trips as the Rain, Wind and another Cold Front appear that they'll make fishing a "not so fun event" for a few days! We continue to have good luck on RC even with the tremendous amount of fresh water that has muddied even the Main Lake the past few weeks! The Blues and Channels love it! Here's some pics from the past couple of days! fish

RC has had a lot of water flowing through it the past two weeks leaving the Lake stained/muddy and still about a foot above Pool Level. I haven't seen or heard of anyone catching any Whites or Crappie. Truth is no one hardly at all has been fishing except Adam and I and our Customers. On RC from around October thru March, we normally have our own "45,000 Acre Private Lake". IT'S ABSOLUTLEY WONDERFUL!!! fish

The cold and rain of the past 30 days gave way to some great Fall weather in the past week and we were able to get in several trips and enjoyed some very good fishing! We're catching a box full of Channels and Blues each outing and had several really BIG FISH we just couldn't turn!

We have openings throughout December and have a "WINTER DISCOUNT SPECIAL" in place! Weather looks AWESOME!!! Give us a call and Let's Go Catchin'!
