How many of you fish Livingston Baits and truly have confidence in this concept of baits. Tell me your opinion.

Before I say anything, yes I am in their pro staff, but that does not effect my honest opinion about them.
I absolutely love Livingston Lures. I've caught a lot of fish and have won a lot of money using them. The new Team Livingston series is amazing. 3 different sounds, plus a silent mode. I've spent a lot of time with the shallow cranks. I like the action of them. Their older models have just the one sound. The very first time I used a Livingston, within 5 minutes I caught a 5+ pounder. My big fish ratio has gone up the last few years after switching to Livingston. Honestly, it's a rare thing that I'll catch a fish under two pounds on one. But that's just been my experience. Everyone will have a different a experience. Pro staff aside, I honestly think it's worth a try. Everyone is gonna have their opinions of them. And some are actually pretty harsh. As for what Lee might have to say, what we discussed was something completely different from how they actually work. That was more of a customer service thing. So I don't really know what kind of info he has. But if you have any questions or anything at all, feel free to ask or pm me. I can get more into detail later and what not. I'm half distracted at work right now lol

I was given a few different Livingston baits last year. I found the brand of bait which was almost identical to each, which surprisingly there seems be an almost identical lure by another company to each of baits I was given.
I fished the Livingstons and the "other brands" on the same day, same setup and the same water and the "other brands" out performed the Livingston lures.
So, for me I will buy the $7 baits instead of the $17 Livingston baits.

Here is another question, if you was going to pay $17 for a bait or in that range. Would you buy a Lucky Craft, Spro, Megabass or Livingston???? I know what I would do. I understand some baits have a place and time with alittle advantage over others but is this a bait that really has that advantage at that price? Also would you buy multiple baits in a certain color or size in Livingston.

Lee has the info you need. Very funny you guys. Well, the man asked, I will give you my opinion. When I first began fishing, I fell for their advertising as it sounded 'reasonable'. I bought two deep diver (Randy Howell'rs) and two crank baits (shallow divers). I was and still really P.O.'d at them but, that's another story. I have yet, in all honesty, to catch one fish on any of the four. I was so impressed with them, I gave one away to a fellow TFF'r on here who took me out to point out some spots on Eagle Mountain Lake. It was meant to be a gesture of thank you but, I don't think he is/was impressed with it either. I will NOT ever buy another one of their products. The noise....my opinion, is a 'gimmick'. Like Doug R. posted, again in my opinion, you can buy some proven really nice brand name lures for the same and usually less money. Bottom line: No, IMO, they are NOT worth the money. You will see some advertising concerning their product, I ask you to remember just one thing: The fisherman is PAID to endorse a product for money...what would you do if offered a product and money.....wouldn't you endorse it if you were making a living in the Bass industry? As always, the final decision is yours....only my opinion God Bless

There is always 2 sides to every story. I was introduced to Livingston by Bassin Billy Tompkins on Falcon. I was intrigued by the design behind the lure. I used his, we caught fish. I came back to East Texas and have a nice selection of Livingston products. I can honestly say I have caught numerous fish on them. I am not going to fabricate some outlandish story about catching huge fish, but I am not really a crank bait guy anyhow. I like throwing plastics. BUT...... I am reall sold on their lipless cranks (traps) I like their products and would recommend that you at least give them a try For every yeng there is a yang,,,,,tit for tat,,,,,black n white,,,,,,aww heck you know what I mean Also remember, the rattle trap has a gimmick inside if it, the plastic worm was a gimmick at one point, the buzz bait is a gimmick.
