does this need to be done every 12,24,36 months?is this a simple job,cause I can turn a simple job into a 3 day,call call the handy man job,how do you clean the screen,and does the hose,tube,need to be primed when you put it back togather,how do I know its pumping oil,when I finish,I have a Mercury 150 XR6

Once a year and no priming as it pressure`s the oil from the main to the motor tank. Remove the tube with the screen. Spray through the tube with carb cleaner (B12) to clean, then blow out with compressed air. Loosen the phillips screw on the oil pump to bleed the oil system and oil will come out when pumping.
