The hook is the key to get the right action and good hook sets. I use a 5/0 or 6/0 with the barb that the frog slides onto. I think Mustad makes the hooks I use. Its been a while. But if rigged right they will sink slow at a slight angle. I catch a lot on the drop off the edge of the grass or off the top of a pad on the initial fall. If it ain't yours don't mess with it!
