I am a big fan of the Lake Fork Trophy Frog Tail Hook. It works well and you can pick them up at Bass Pro , Cabela's and some Academys.

Booyah Pad Crasher in Bullfrog or Cricket Frog
In memory of my childhood friend Dan Sterling, who taught me at an early age how to catch bream with a hand-line, and who unknowingly hooked me on fishing for life.

Nothing wrong with some horny toads by Zoom. I buy the green/yellow and dip the feet in spike it. The hook is the key to get the right action and good hook sets. I use a 5/0 or 6/0 with the barb that the frog slides onto. I think Mustad makes the hooks I use. Its been a while. But if rigged right they will sink slow at a slight angle. I catch a lot on the drop off the edge of the grass or off the top of a pad on the initial fall.
