The BCC-4-17 is a great all around rod for cranking. I highly suggest you give this rod a look

Low cost option.... I have three of these. I like the 6'6" medium for most crankbaits, the 7 med-hvy for larger crankbaits.

These are well built fiberglass rods (I like fiberglass for crankbaits).

Give Power Tackle rods a try they make the best cranking rod going that I have tried just about all of them, plus there made right in Del Rio

So powertackle is selling their 250-350 dollar rods for 100 dollars. That is a good deal.

The St. Croix premier is a quality crankin rod in that price range. And yes I will take a dozen of those $100 Power Tackle rods.
