My son and I are fishing in our first Berkley Big Bass Tournament.
Can we use any Johnson baits...are they not part of the Berkley family?

Can we use any Johnson baits...are they not part of the Berkley family? You could use any pure-fishing brand in the past. Johnson Spoons and beetle spins SHOULD be allowed. But I agree the rules say Berkley and Sebile "Exclusively". So I wouldn't mess with them.

Wish they'd add it to their tournament documentation.) ANYTHING under the Pure Fishing umbrella, including Johnson, is legal for the Berkley tournament.

If that's the case, they should definitely add it to the rules. That would make more folks happy and create less confusion.

I called them too (before I saw this post); wanted to make sure that my Johnson silver minnow (that must be 30 years old) is still legal.
their phone must be ringing off the wall.

I know everyone likes spinnerbaits, but a 1/4oz beetle spin will catch the snot out of bass. Been using them ever since I was a little boy and they still work today..
