Can it be done right now ? Or is it too deep. Have not been there before, been to PK on the brazos , want to try down by Whitney, but I don't have a kayak. Planning on going Saturday AM.

Yes, you can. Plenty of room to fish. Fish right in the fast moving riffles for hybrids, just at the edge of the moving water for bass. I haven't gotten any real size wading the shallows, but there are plenty of numbers. HINT: try a white crystal buggar with a chartreuse tail. The bigger fish are in the deeper pools.

Well was a pretty slow morning for me. Caught 5 little ones. Saw some bigger fish around 11 that spooked every time I casted near them, not sure what kind of fish , looked like a LMB and striper but really not sure. Was fun but definitely did better at PK , although I'm sure a kayak might change that. Caught most on the white bugger with chartreuse tail.

They had been running at one but havnt had a day off till today in 21 days. Guess I'm paying for four months of six days a week fishing. Glad you caught a few. When they start generation you definitely either need to be up top by the parking lot or have a kayak but it really does turn the fish on. PK has been a real numbers mixed bag place recently. size could be a little better but still a ton of fun with a three or four weight.

Ah ok, I guess we missed it and left too early (not by my choosing). 4 Months off? Wow.

Went to the Brazos on PK last night, did a little better, but my worst outing so far at PK.

Caught that one on a olive bugger, my nicest striper (I think?) yet (Hey, they don't have striper up north to my knowledge)

Also saw a few dead ones floating by, brought one in to take a closer look, not sure how they are dying.
