ok went out Friday nite and bought me a new crappie set-up. it's a 7' light action Shakespeare rod with a shakesspear cfs20 reel. its the Shakespeare Marigane Mojarra set-up.
just wondering if this set-up will be ok for fishing deep and shallow(if I can put the bass rod down) lol.

It should get the job done. Good thing about crappie fishing, you don't have to break the bank to get good equipment. Good luck on the fishing!

It'll handle crappie okay! I normally use my ultra lights for gill fishing...once you hook up to one of those big girls, you'd think you're catching whales when you see that rod bend! Super sensitive and light weight!


Katchin krappie...doin surgeries(filleting)...and givin hott grease baths until krunchy and golden brown is what it's all about!!!
